About Connor

Connor Bitter is the founder of Admissions Avenue and its Head of Global Admissions. He specializes in helping top Canadian students find a true academic passion and finding the right program — however niche — at home or abroad. He is a graduate of Harvard College, the University of Zurich, and ETH Zurich with degrees in stem cell biology and neuroscience.

Connor has over 15 years of experience working with high school students, including as a youth basketball coach and academic mentor. He has been coaching admissions to top universities for approximately 10 years, having helped dozens of students find their way to programs and careers in Canada, the US, and globally. Connor's approach to mentorship is to guide rather than prescribe, and to teach the “why” rather than simply the “how”. His students have gone on to study at leading universities including Harvard, Princeton, Swarthmore, and Columbia, and won prestigious scholarships including the Loran Scholarship and the TD Community Leadership Scholarship.

Before Admissions Avenue, Connor has had a diversity of experiences working across the public, non-profit, and private sectors. He has held management and leadership roles at Charles River Associates, a global management consulting firm, AstraZeneca, a leading biopharmaceutical company, and Praxus Health, a Canadian non-profit healthcare organization, as well as various roles supporting political campaigns and municipal government. His experience allows him to support students interested in a variety of sectors and industries beyond a simple cursory knowledge of the field.

Outside of work, you can catch Connor following Toronto sports teams, cooking cuisines from around the world, or spending quality time with his wife and two cats.
