The Circle of Advisors

A curated network of working professionals who give our students honest 'coffee chats' — so career exploration becomes a real part of the journey, not an afterthought.

What it is

Connect with working professionals before choosing your major

Most high school students aren't sure of exactly the career they'd like to pursue. Our circle of advisors is a group of working professionals available to give students an insider perspective on careers they might be considering.

How it works

How coffee chats work

  1. 01

Identify majors or career paths of potential interest

  2. 02

Learn how to have professional career discussions and interviews

  3. 03

Chat with 2–3 working professionals from our network (or your own)!

  4. 04

Narrow down your list of programs with what you've learned

coach mentoring a student

Our admissions coaches prepare you for how to have a 'coffee chat' with a professional: how to act professionally, ask proper questions, and gain valuable insights that will help you understand what a particular job or career entails. Then, we connect you with 2–3 working professionals who can tell you about their experience going from university to the working world.

You leave our coaching prepared to have these discussions on your own throughout university and the rest of your career — an important advantage for networking and knowing which paths to take.

What students gain

More than an admit

Career clarity

Honest perspectives on what an industry is actually like — before you commit a major or school list to it.

Communication skills

The same conversational muscles that admissions interviews and the working world reward.

A sharper 'why'

Advisor chats help you pressure-test and refine your 'why this program' narrative until it's genuinely yours.
